EFComm - Why Join

Why Join the Eternal Focus Community

Writing with an Eternal Focus calls Christian authors to fix their hearts and minds on Christ, anchoring their words in Scripture, truth, and obedience to God’s calling.

This mission is not driven by earthly recognition or outcomes, but by faithfulness—writing as an act of worship, stewardship, and service to God.

Through eternal focus, authors learn to trust God with the results while remaining diligent, disciplined, and devoted to advancing His Kingdom through the written word.

Eternal Focus - Writing with Eternal Focus

In a world easily distracted by visibility, approval, and success, eternal focus calls us back to what truly matters. Writing with Eternal Focus is not about recognition, results, or reward in this life. It is about fixing our hearts and minds on God—His truth, His purposes, and His Kingdom—while faithfully stewarding the gifts He has entrusted to us.

Eternal focus is anchored in covenant, not achievement. It flows from our relationship with a faithful God who calls His children to walk in obedience, trust, and love. Scripture reminds us that our lives—and our work—are meant to be oriented toward Him, not toward temporary gain.

Deuteronomy 7:9 grounds this perspective beautifully:

“Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.”

Eternal focus grows out of this covenant of love. When our attention is fixed on God’s faithfulness rather than our own outcomes, our writing becomes an act of worship and obedience. We write not to be seen, but to serve; not to impress, but to remain faithful.

When we, as authors, write with Eternal Focus, we are aligning our words, intentions, and creativity with God’s heart—seeking first His Kingdom and trusting Him with the fruit.

“When we, as authors, write with eternal focus, we fix our eyes on God’s purposes rather than earthly outcomes.”

Jana Smith

Eternal focus does not eliminate effort or discipline; rather, it rightly orders them. It reminds us that success is defined by faithfulness, not visibility, and that obedience matters more than applause. Our calling as Christian writers is not to chase trends, but to remain anchored in truth, guided by Scripture, and surrendered to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

As we write with Eternal Focus, we trust that God will use our words according to His will and timing. Our task is simply to remain faithful—to write honestly, humbly, and obediently—knowing that what is done for the Lord carries eternal significance.
